Mick Mulvaney was interviewed by Chris Wallace on Fox today. The following is paraphrased to get the gist of the conversation: Wallace: Trump’s advisers are against him pulling out of Syria. Mulvaney: Well, that’s what the American people want. Wallace: Do the American people understand the ramifications of this? Mulvaney: No and that’s why they elected Trump to get advice and make the decisions. Wallace: But his advisers think it’s a bad idea. Mulvaney: The people elected Trump to fuck things up. Ok, he said they elected Trump to be a disruptor, but same thing. ---

Steve Mnuchin just tweeted that he had Sunday phone calls with the top six bank CEOs and there will be a convening of the President’s working group of financial markets to make sure that the economy doesn’t collapse during the shutdown. This is not encouraging. > ---
