Really, the boss part of Pelosi’s move is that she spent three paragraphs blaming Trump’s (current) least favorite member of his cabinet why Trump can’t have TV-and-Applause-time. I bet Nielsen’s day is just _shit_. ---

Nancy Pelosi has really done a number on thump. Technically he can’t show up to address both houses of Congress without an invitation. BUT if he gives the STFU address from the Oval Office then he’s DOING WHAT NANCY TOLD HIM TO DO! OMG. If that doesn’t make his head explode, nothing will. This is a classic “[horns of a dilemma](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Horns_of_a_dilemma)” situation, i.e., facing two choices, both of which are undesirable. Loving it. ---

Those two are serious about walking their talk. ---

Like, do you _truly_ think Trump would recoil from a choice solely because it would involve “DOING WHAT NANCY TOLD HIM TO DO! OMG”? I know folks love to deride the guy, but do you really think he’s _that_ easy to manipulate? Because, if so, then I don’t get why things are how they are; just have Nancy tell him to keep the shutdown going — and then have her demand that he nominate anyone other than Hillary Clinton the next time there’s a Supreme Court vacancy. And make sure to have her wag a finger at him and insist — _insist_ — that he refuse to testify under oath. “And whatever you do, don’t apologize to Obama!” If he’s in fact as dumb as you’re making him out to be, then why not just flatly order him to be sober and wear clothes when delivering the SOTU? Heck, why not just order him to keep on being president, so that he’d, y’know, quit? Or is he not, in fact, that easy to sucker? ---
