The GOP may make lemonade out of this lemon if Wall becomes the next couple of cycles’ equivalent of repeal-n-replace – the putative goal that rallies the base to give money though at best you get gradual incremental steps and every election you can blame the obstruction of the other side and promise “this time we’ll do it”. And that is useful enough if it means meanwhile you continue being able to name judges, loosen regulations and pass legislation in favor of the plutocracy. But of course, that would require that Trump stop setting fire to his own shirt in fits of pique whenever some RW “influencer” calls him a rude name or someone fails to treat him with personal reverence. (Hell, I’d be careful with trolling Trump from the right if I were one of the pseudopundits. If Trump were to at some point reply _“piss off, Ann, what have you ever been Chief Executive of?”_ at one of Coulter’s tweets, that would \*end \*her on the spot.) ---

That may happen, JRD, but the politics of having the GOP on the governments side of the biggest eminent domain takings case in the history of the State of Texas is just a fucking nightmare for the GOP. The support for this idea in this state is tepid at best, and it will go completely negative once the TV cameras start to show Old White Men and Old Hispanic Abuela’s thrown from their centuries-owned family ranches. ---

Have it “accidently” shut down in the middle (or towards the beginning) of the SOTU. Let him start speaking off the cuff, as he is so “great” at doing. ---
