I must vent: Trump’s statements about the gas attacks on Syria piss me off to no end. Trump said, “It crossed a lot of lines for me. When you kill innocent children, innocent babies — babies, little babies — with a chemical gas that is so lethal … that crosses many, many lines, beyond a red line… That attack on children yesterday had a big impact on me. Big impact. It was a horrible, horrible thing. It’s very, very possible that my attitude toward Syria and Assad has changed very much.” You ignorant dolt – what do you think has been happening in Syria for the last many years? Hospitals bombed, toddlers being pulled out of bomb craters, entire cities being leveled, and for years you basically concluded that Assad ain’t so bad. Now it’s like reality somehow broke through that immense field of stupidity that surrounds you, so that you finally encounter for the first time what is actually occurring in Syria – and it’s like a gamechanger for you. How dare you be so completely unaware of what’s going on in the world while running for the most important elected office in the world. Sure, there’s the silver lining that you finally seem to care a little bit about someone other than yourself, but these comments make me seethe with how totally unprepared you are to have the job you do. It’s like if your closest friend died of cancer, and you’re compelled to tell the world, “Hey, I just found this out – cancer isn’t nearly as good as I once thought it was. I may be changing my mind on cancer, that’s for sure.” You fucking prick. ---

[It appears the “Burn-It-All-to-The-Ground Savage” branch of the West Wing is coming into conflict with the “Caviar Enema” branch of the West Wing.](http://www.politico.com/story/2017/04/bannon-resign-mercer-trump-236939?cmpid=sf) On the one hand, if Bannon loses this war, our threat of nuclear annihilation goes down considerably, but with Kushner’s ascent, the chance that the 99% will be reduced to sustaining ourselves off of twigs and dog food within the next two years goes up significantly.
