He also makes a big point that the constitution specifies “high crimes **AND** misdemeanors,” so that if he was only guilty of a high crime or only guilty of a misdemeanors he’d be scot free. even though its pretty obvious from the phrasing that the sentence was meant to be a list of things any of which could justify impeachment. ---

Jeepers, Trumps has something like two dozen lawyers working for him full-time, including the Attorney Fucking General of the United States. Don’t any of them ever even attempt to explain this shit to him? ---

Arnav Gupta died in a hospital later last night. As I recall, people setting themselves on fire in Tunis some years ago led to widespread political effects involving “spring”. ---

I wondered about the legality of the whole GoFundMe approach to wall building. Sure, it’s private property…but by building a wall on the border that runs through your property, aren’t you then implementing your own private border policy? That can’t be legal. ---

Based on his recent track record, the legality of this venture is dubious at best. ---

That can’t be legal. Sure you can. The legal problem this group ran into is more to do with fairly typical local ordinances. One is that the city only allows walls up to 6ft, and they never got permission from anybody for more than that. And that’s typical of a lot of municipalities. I can’t just build a 30 ft wall separating me from my neighbors, much less a border with a foreign country, even if I build it on my property. Another is that they never got construction permits, which is always a big no-no. ---
