There were sequential headlines earlier on Google’s news page. One said that Trump mocked Obama at the G7, saying Obama got outsmarted. (I didn’t read the article.) The following headline said that Trump said America had vast wealth and wasn’t going to lose it to dreams and windmills. Whatever allegedly outsmarted Obama, it sure as shit wasn’t Cadet Bone Spurs. ---

Trump doesn’t care what deal he actually gets; he only wants something he can claim as a victory. He’d give them Hawaii if he could stand in front of a cheering crowd and brag about how he unloaded some worthless islands. Trump’s successor, one hopes, will pursue a deal which actually preserves American interests. I hope China does not realize this. ---
