That’s because Republicans say they have “values” and they say they have “beliefs”. And as old as this comparison gets with the current unfit clown holding the office, can you just imagine if Obama had done it? ---

Looks like Trump deliberately manipulated the stock market by falsely claiming he spoke with Chinese officials about a possible end to the trade war. The President does have the authority to override security classifications and release secret information. That said, it’s like a pardon or a veto; just because the President has a tool doesn’t mean he uses it wisely. The problem with these presidential powers isn’t that they exist. It’s that Donald Trump is the one wielding them. ---

If the Trump administration hasn’t yet laid bare the fact that the entire platform of the Republican party is bullshit, and has been for quite some time, then it never will. Everything they have claimed that they were about since I was a kid was nonsense. Free trade. Family values. Safety. Meritocracy. Personal responsibility. Lower deficits. Being the adult in the room. All of it was bullshit. ---

Short-fingered vulgarian cancelled his trip to Poland — to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the beginning of the Second World War, and weirdly enough the Poles were LOOKING FORWARD TO HIS VISIT — in order to keep close tabs on the progress of Hurricane Dorian towards the United States. Anyone who supports Trump has earned the right to be laughed into silence at their every claim of virtue and their every criticism of Obama (and other Democrats). Imagine that: at every campaign event; at every interview, Republicans uttering claims and criticisms being drowned out by laughter. No Republican being able to get out more than a few words before gales of laughter force them to skulk back to their lairs. I have a dream, this afternoon. That all Americans might rise up in healthy, vigorous, irrepressible laughter. That Republicans might be forced back into the shadows, unable to be heard above the rising tide of raucous glee. That justice might be done. ---
