Trump could have just let them give Carter the award, and then refuse to acknowledge it as President, or not bother to congratulate Carter publicly. I assume he wants to delay it because he hopes Carter dies first. ---

It is then noticeable that the American presidents that buried the head in the sand when the dictators were running Argentina (and elsewhere) were Ronald Reagan and George H.W. Just when I think Trump found some humility with his Art of the Deal debacle during Health Care negotiations, and his recent admission that the presidency wasn’t as easy as he thought, he goes back to his “best ever” rhetoric with his first 100 days and rally attendance numbers. He truly does want the illusion of popularity to justify his presidency. He’s like the little kid who keeps yelling “Watch me Mama!” while attempting 12-inch cartwheels. ---
