Lawrence O’Donnell made a good series of points: 1. This was planned 2. Trump knew 3. Trump is keeping watch as to who is participating… and not 4. To Trump: participation = support for Trump 5. Trump also has a habit of attacking those who don’t “support” him 6. DESPITE this, over 170 Republicans decided, “naw, brah, I’m good.” Also, he just mentioned that the Republicans who did have access to Taylor’s testimony have had 24 hours to find something they could leak and spin… and they haven’t. ---

Remember way back when the Republican platform was being written, and it had a thing in it about supporting Ukraine against Russia? And it disappeared, _poof_ gone! Nobody’s fingerprints, nobody did it, it just happened. I remember Rachel “Mad Dog” Maddow reporting on it with that cute face she wears when talking about something that’s probably not real important but still rings the WTF? bell. The other thing I remember was the Pubbie convention, when Jar-Jar Binks gave the speech nominating Trump. ---

No, no, no. You guys have it all wrong. Follow the logic! It makes perfect sense if you think like the twit-in-chief does. 1. Announce that you will build a border wall between the US and Mexico. 2. Announce that Mexico will pay for it. 3. Realize that you get to tax people in New Mexico. 4. Realize that hey, it has Mexico right there in the name. 5. Put some of that tax income towards building the wall. 6. There you have it; Mexicans paid for the wall! ---

It was in my opinion an ill-advised program, made slightly scandalous by the refusal to cooperate with Congress. And yes, it seems quaint nowadays. ---
