Even better, she won election to the Loudon County Board of Supervisors, which has authority over the area where the Trump National Golf Club is located.😃

Matt Bevin of Kentucky, the Republican seeking re-election, formally asked state officials to undertake a check and recanvass of the voting machines and absentee ballots in the race, citing “irregularities” without providing details. The Democratic candidate, Andy Beshear, has claimed victory with a lead of about 5,100 votes, or about 0.4 percent of ballots cast.

> As the Louisville Courier-Journal reports, the Republican president of the Kentucky Senate has already started looking into how they could contest the election and throw it to a vote in the GOP-dominated state House of Representatives. Under Kentucky state law, the elections are certified by a state board of elections… However, he could also contest the election. In that case, it would be up to a vote of the House and Senate to decide the winner. And in both chambers, Republicans have a majority…

> The top U.S. diplomat in Ukraine, Bill Taylor, told House impeachment investigators last month that President Donald Trump directed officials to tie military aid to Ukraine to demands that the country open political advantageous probes, according to a transcript of his testimony made public Wednesday.
> The transcript of Taylor’s closed-door testimony before the three House committees leading the impeachment inquiry into Trump — the latest in a series of witness transcripts made public — confirms NBC News’ reporting about his more than nine hours of testimony last month. It also contains new details about the language he used in describing the White House’s attempted quid pro quo with Ukraine that shed light on his level of concern about the matter. …
> the military aid to Ukraine had been directly tied to Ukraine opening investigations into the Burisma energy company — the Ukrainian gas company whose board of directors Joe Biden’s son Hunter Biden joined in 2014 — as well as a conspiracy theory about alleged Ukrainian interference in the 2016 election.
> “That was my clear understanding, security assistance money would not come until the president [of Ukraine] committed to pursue the investigation,” Taylor said, according to the transcript.
> He was then asked if he was “aware that quid pro quo literally means this for that?”
> “I am,” Taylor replied.

To go on and say “I fully support the incompetent moron in the White House,” however, would lead one to question his judgment.

I can argue that point. It’s like saying that the reason he shouldn’t be punished for the crimes he knowingly did is because he’s not competent enough to have committed the crimes which he knowingly did.

And I say it’s like that, because it’s _exactly_ that.

It’s not a plea of ignorance. It’s a plea of “please pretend it didn’t happen, because we’re appealing to your low opinion of him”.

Lindsay Fucking Graham. Chair of the Senate Committee on the Judiciary. Says ON FUCKING VIDEO that :

“What I can tell you about the Trump policy toward Ukraine: It was incoherent, it depends on who you talk to, they seem to be incapable of forming a quid pro quo,…”
