He’s not going to die. He’s not going to resign for “health reasons”. He’s not laying the groundwork for some “compassion pardon”. He’s a fat, aging grifter who hides and lies about everything, even when there’s no benefit to him. ---

Right in front of the cameras. For no reason. It’s probably something like he got his tiny button mushroom caught in a zipper or something. Or Melania kicked him in his shriveled gonads. But in my wild imagination, Trump suffered another in a series of TIA’s, and he was found in the Imperial Bathroom with his pants on his head, muttering “purple monkey dishwasher!” His handlers are currently wondering what the hell to do with him, as he’s even more incoherent than usual. ---

My own baseless speculation is that he had a mild panic attack, and they took him in to be sure there was no cardiac event involved. While there, they went ahead and did a few of the tests he would need for his physical, thus providing the cover story. ---

You are correct that Republicans point to these people as justification for eliminating the programs. I think that people ‘gaming the system’ are inevitable, but their numbers are few. It is better to help the majority, and prosecute the gamers as they are found. Fraud is a cost of doing business, and they can be absorbed to benefit the vastly greater majority of those who need assistance. Let everyone receive the benefits they need, even Republicans. Let them complain as they collect their checks. It’s for the good of the country, to have everyone\* protected. ---
