Impeachment in and of itself isn’t weakening Trump, but you know what is? Wading into state-level political skirmishes, touting a GOP candidate…and losing his ass off. If there’s one thing that the Senate GOP is afraid of and taking notice of, it’s not the impeachment poll; it’s the fact that Trump’s political “capital” is not only forcing people to retire; it’s just not fucking working, even in the Trumpiest of states. ---
