Guiliani has proven to be so dishonest and unscrupulous that is anyone else wondering about the people he sent to jail? Given that he’s supposed to uphold the law, his behavior now is just horrifying.

Obama is different. Him they would have wanted to kill - literally, for some of the Base.

I still remember carefully explaining to a friend, back in mumblemumble, that voting for someone because “he’s a man of action!” and “he’s strong!” isn’t a good idea unless you think the actions he takes and the way he exercises that strength are correct. He wasn’t convinced. To a lot of people, boisterous blunder is the very essence of authority, noise and speed are what marks “decisiveness”, and “decisiveness” equals leadership; they’re always and forever surprised when the brake-less 18-wheeler runs into their living room.

This attitude drives me crazy, too. Well put. ☹

And the thing is even if the next president is a sane person (Republican _or_ Democrat), it’s not simply a matter of hitting the reset button on the Trump Presidency. He’s caused all kinds of damage to the military, the government, America’s international agreements and its standing in the world.

I guarantee you Trump was marked as a asset long before then, and that he was bugged the minute his shoe touched chintzy Aeroflot carpet.

If KGB wants to control someone, they pick somebody who fears exposure and has a clearance to lose. All they need is for the mark to either take or hand something to them, and they can blackmail you. This would work on naïve newbies straight out of Basic, but you have to wonder what KGB could use on Trump. He’s so damned stupid.

He’s not ashamed of anything except poverty and…? The honey trap is a Putin speciality. There was an Intourist hotel that some private company bought in Moscow, and they found it was laden with bugs and surveillance equipment. That hotel was notable in the 90s for the prostitutes sitting in rows in the lobby. Does _anybody_ believe that Trump turned down Russian prostitutes, like his bodyguard said?

Trump wants to be what he thinks of as “strong”----look at how he gushed over Kim Jong Un.

_"He’s the head of a country, and I mean he’s the strong head,”Trump said.“He speaks and his people sit up at attention. I want my people to do the same.”_

Putin must have reams of material on Trump, but what does he fear so much?

And jeez, thanks for the reminder about Trump’s…shortcomings. I’ll treasure that mental image.

If it were Trump that was an asset, that would be inconsequential; the much, much deeper problem is that Putin’s hacking of the Republican party and conservative causes.

Easy - it’s _their_ military, defending _their_ nation.

Spencer wasn’t with _their_ program; he’s part of the deep state.

I’m in a minority - I may _be_ the minority - that doesn’t believe any kompromat is involved. Putin or his minions have been blowing smoke up trump’s ass for thirty years, and that’s the only thing that really gets him off (sorry, **margin** ). Nothing will break that bond.

I saw a clip of War Criminal Gallagher from Fox and Friends today. His interview was an audition for a position in the Trump administration. He even used one of Trump’s favorite shticks, calling someone “Cryin’ Craig Miller”. I had to back up and listen again to make sure I heard that right. Actually, I’m surprised more of his sycophants don’t make use of that. Anyway, look for Gallagher’s new appointment soon. Maybe if the guy Trump picked already to be the new Secretary of the Navy doesn’t work out.
