Trump made sure he fired Andy McCabe a day or two before he became eligible for some significant pension benefits, and he always has his people wait until a few hours before a Congressional request/subpoena deadline before telling them “No.” It would be sweet justice for him to be on the receiving end of vindictive timing for a change. And it would be so fun to watch him trying to control himself while reading the speech someone wrote for him, until he explodes like an old dishwasher and starts ranting about the Deep State screwing him. ---

The ‘like’ happened in 2017 (no slam on Rick, the story is just being reported now), so I don’t think people were as finely attuned to the thinness of Trump’s skin at the time. ---

I have a scary thought, prompted by consideration of the Jamal Khashoggi murder. Khashoggi was _disciplined_ by the Saudis six months before they murdered him. Why? For criticizing Trump. Then they murder him. Where did that idea come from? And if Trump had total control of the US, what would he do? It wouldn’t be health care and tax breaks.
