I’ve been assured by Very Smart People that Trump knows everything about this so-called “virus”. I mean, just read the statesman like knowledge he recently bestowed upon the nation: “We’re ordering a lot of supplies. We’re ordering a lot of — a lot of elements that, frankly, we wouldn’t be ordering unless it was something like this. But we’re ordering a lot of different elements of medical. We are working on cures and we’re getting some very good results.” - Donnie J Trump. “a lot of different elements of medical.” What. The. Fuck. I’ve seen 5 year olds with a better grasp on reality. ---

As I said elsewhere, everything he says (or tweets) is: incoherent, or malicious, or truly false, or, more likely, some combination of the three. Trying to parse the meaning, upon which he himself has the shakiest grasp, is an exercise in futility. Chortle, roll your eyes or weep at his utterances, but then just walk away, for along the road to making sense of it lies madness. Save yourselves. ---

Pence was at Sarasota Military Academy recently for a fundraiser (why at a high school, I don’t know), and he shook hands with the cadets. One of those cadets and his mother have since been quarantined with symptoms of Covid-19. ---

As I remember, when he was just a blowhard business guy in New York, Trump was known to be a germaphobe and didn’t shake hands. I wonder how he’s managed during the campaigning and governing. ---
