Trump is ultimately responsible for firing, closing, and allowing to close various programs that could have helped speed our response to this pandemic. It doesn’t even really matter if Trump personally took all these actions himself or not since they are consistent with his overall policy of reducing funding to everything except what he likes, AKA the wall and his personal coffers. And as noted above, it was not just “one guy” at the NSC who got pushed out. I don’t know why you’re so determined to make out like we only had one rear admiral nominally assigned to this. ---
