In Aus, the govt have gone the opposite tack, getting people OFF disability and back into the job queues. Unless your disability is going to get ‘better’ in the future, you’re assessed as being able to work x hours per week and will get Jobseeker payment as a top up. FTR, the allowance for Jobseekers is considerably less than the Disability Support Pension. ---
