But it will be hilarious if the tapes are subpoenaed and he has to either admit that they don’t exist or appear to be refusing to provide them. ---

I admit that I am mystified by much of what Trump says and does. But the tapes tweet is mystifying to me at such a level that I can’t seem to let it go. The bare facts are simple, I think. Anonymous sources let it be known that Comey had written contemporaneous memos detailing a few conversations he had with Trump, and the same sources described some of what was in those memos. Trump then tweeted [QUOTE=grotesque asshole-in-chief] James Comey better hope that there are no “tapes” of our conversations before he starts leaking to the press! [/QUOTE] First, this doesn’t make temporal sense; Comey had already passed information along to the press. Second, what kind of threat is this, if in fact it is one? Is he trying to say that Comey’s revelations had better be accurate, or tapes will be released to disprove what he says? Or is he simply trying to convey to his loyal morons a fake assurance that Comey is lying? What, if anything, could this degenerate have been thinking prior to tweeting this? ---

Indeed, it is his habits well known from the days when he was just the third rate real estate promoter in New York City doing the tabloid gutter self-promotion and used to threatening and scaring the small business contractors into submission. While the big operators in the real estate promotion, the genuinely successful non-multiple bankrupts, they preferred the quiet discretion even when they beat him in the law suits. ---
