I’m always amazed when hardcore Fox News watchers, a network with a (proven, documented) \> 60% pure bullshit factor, and consumers of far right media with even higher bullshit factors, try to call out CNN and other sources as being biased. I also note that they ALWAYS cite CNN and assume their opponents are getting their information from it. But it does seem that “You watch the lies about Trump on CNN and believe them” is a Talking Point of the moment for those people. I’ve seen that specifically stated by several recent trolls here and on other boards. Which doesn’t really doesn’t point to any credibility on EE’s part that he’s simply repeating today’s right wing bullshit talking point. ---

“Read both sides” I swear to Moloch that I do my level best to visit the Fox and Breitbart sites several times a week to see what’s up on the Other Side. Has anyone advice on how to navigate the comments sections without puking? Leave aside the spelling errors and lack of grammar or punctuation. Forget the inability to construct a cogent argument. I’ve read the most vile racist and sexist things there I’ve seen anywhere on the internet. “Cunt Hillary, hur hur, lock 'er up!” “She’d be 100 times worse, with that ugly face.” “Pajama boy.” I saw a half-dozen references to “pajama boy” before I realized they were talking about Obama. What the fuck does that even mean? That he wears funny clothes because he’s a Kenyan Muslim, or that he enjoys naps? Following the article on Obama’s statement against the McConnell healthcare bill, one shithead actually wrote “Shut up, boy. The grown-ups are talking.” I’ve been trying to shake that sentence out of my head for 48 hours now. How am I supposed to NOT assume all right-wingers are Neanderthals after reading this kind of thing? William Buckley is spinning in his grave. Hell, COOLIDGE is spinning in his grave. ---

Hence, if you are not a callous sociopath, you have not grown up yet. You can be the most eloquent triple-PhD who can clearly and convincingly respond to all comers, but if you show the slightest hint of namby-pambiness, you need to grow up, kid. This is the real world, where stupid and heartless beats brilliant and empathical, every time. ---
