His favorability/unfavorability gap has been steadily increasing, and now is almost 30 points apart in some polls. Yes, gerrymandering, and yes, some voter suppression likely was and may still be in the offing. But for his favorables to turn around like that between now and 2020…can you posit any possible future events and conditionals which would reverse that trend and get him reasonably close to just breaking even and thus have a reasonable shot at re-election? Note I demand _specifics_. I doubt that there are any. A crisis of some sort, incl. a war or just some major military action somewhere would probably just further demonstrate to any who are still on the fence that he is a terrible leader no matter what the topic, cause, or occasion. Dems somehow nominate an empty suit with no charisma? Hell, he will probably be bounced out of office, or dead of a heart attack, long before Nov. 2020 comes along. ---

Certainly, I can see the Justice Department investigating the unauthorized release of any classified information, but have any of the leaks from the White House (other than those from Trump, himself) contained classified info? I’m sure Trump isn’t happy about the leaks, but that doesn’t make them crimes. ---
