This is great stuff. Trump was in his private quarters for half the day watching cable news, getting angry, and calling his lawyers. Papadopoulos was a surprise. He may have been wearing a wire when dealing with the Trump campaign. Mueller is making America great again! Trump hit an all time low in the Gallup Poll today - 33% approval. ---

Detrumpify makes this thread so much fun to read! It changes “The Trump Administration: A Clusterfuck in the Making” To the “Sexist, Gaffe-Prone Asshat” Administration. _teeheehee_ And if I preview what I can see below the draft page I see: Toxic, Apricot Anus Moldering, Rage-Addled Herpe Sore Loofa-Faced, Witless Herpe Sore Moldering, Man-Shaped Nutsack Chicken-Necked, idiotic Condom Idiotic, Toxic Buttplug Tangerine, Deranged Fart Basket And many, many more. Now some of this might be original to the posters, I’m not sure, but before I switched it from “Drumpf mode” I’m pretty sure this thread was way less funny. And I disagree with a poster above: you can’t have too many kittens! It’s nice to be able to amuse myself while waiting for Trump to make America Great Again. I.E. Destroy our democratic government, initiate world war three, and sink Florida into the ocean. Well, one of those things is something to look forward to, anyway. 😃 ---

(Actually, someone needs to point out to Trump that Obama’s AVERAGE Gallup approval rating was 47.9%, and Trump has only hit 46% ONCE - on the first day of his presidency, and it’s been all downhill ever since.) ---

I saw someone on Twitter point out that unemploymnent is low, GDP growth is high by US standards, and the stock market is screaming… and Trump’s approval is in the low 30s. That’s, shall we say, atypical. ---

There is a thing called the FAR - federal acquisition regulations. On any FEDERAL government contract, the government invokes the FAR, which gives them the right and the duty to provide oversight. That means if you get Uncle Sam’s money, Uncle Sam has the right to know if he is getting what he paid for. It gets written directly into the contract. Rights to data, delivery of known good (or rejection of bad) hardware, software, rights to inspect, etc etc etc. Not ONE competent career government employee in contract administration would sign off on a “contract” like the one Whitefish got. Not willingly. ---

Yeah, to me the evidence points to the Puerto Rican utility authority (PREPA) doing a shitty job, rather than to Zinke handing out favors. Maybe he put the Whitefish people in touch with PREPA, but in any event they were in Puerto Rico doing utility work well before this contract was signed. There are in fact at least plausible reasons why they got the contract; they apparently have greater-than-usual experience in doing utility work in mountainous areas, by dint of their Montana contracts. ---
