No it is more banal is it not, some perhaps corrupt IT staff with the muslim names accused of the equipment theft or the diversion by the fraudulent procurement is not as scary as “muslim brothers” but it is easy to see with the googling it is a story widely promoted among the hate-sites. ---

Frankly, this sounds like pretty trivial stuff, the same level of petty pissant complaints that were floating around during the Obama and Bush43 administrations. Further, the smaller picture in the article shows Conway leaning forward in her kneeling position to take a cellphone picture of the event, so I gather she chose the position for a good angle and her seeming earlier indifference to the gathering is her just setting her phone up to take pictures. I agree that she shouldn’t be wearing her shoes on the couch, but big deal - it’s a working government office, not a museum exhibit. Except for the President’s own desk, the furniture isn’t of historical or cultural significance. ---

My recollection is the press hardly ignored that sex scandal. My recollection is that is was all over the news at the time (though the cigar thing is not confirmed). The criticism was that it was _over_-reported. Like fucking 20 some years ago. ---
