Well, I don’t have an opinion about that, but that reminds me of someone observing that there are multiple layers of irony in a conservative evoking McCarthy regarding anyone saying something bad about Trump. ---

And it would have taken you less time to just post what you saw than to lecture her about it. Seems time isn’t the only relevant factor. Mother Jones is seeing an uptick in readership and funding. They are a nonprofit and rely on 70% of their budget from subscriptions and donations, and the antics of the Trump administration have been good for them, allowing them to hire more editors and journalists, investigate more stories, and even fight off a million dollar politically motivated lawsuit. The “fake news” scare has gotten people to desire to fund legitimate, independent news sources. And it may be that nonprofit news is the wave of the future. ---
