Launching missiles 'cause something bad happened isn’t doing the right thing. Killing Syrians because Syrians killed Syrians doesn’t seem likely to prevent more Syrians from dying. Just getting further and further into a mess we can’t fix. Stupid and immoral, and will likely result in the deaths of lots of people. Hopefully not Americans, but Trump is dumb enough to send Americans into harm’s way into an unfixable situation. ---

Let’s get one thing out in the open… Trump doesn’t give one fuck about the Syrians, Iraqis, Iranians, Israelis, Palestinians, or US. It’s all about what he thinks will work for his own benefit. They’re all Mooslums and they’re kinda brownish looking. Plus he gets to flex some kind of “muscles” with no risk to himself (draft dodgers are always the biggest war hawks later on). And he has the warmogner Bolton by his side now to make it even worse. “Kick their ass, take their oil”. This stunt is just another bit of chaos on top of all the other chaos - distractions and diversions from the Russians, the Piss Tape, Stormy, Cohen’s raid, Meuller, etc. Trump doesn’t give a fuck, so he didn’t do it for the “poor suffering gas victims”. ---

Putin gets to claim that the whole world is ganging up on Russia on phony charges and so distract his populace from the fact that he is stealing all their money. Assad loses a couple of empty buildings, but can still go on killing his populace the old fashioned way with bullets, barrel bombs and starvation. Biggest loss was several million dollars worth of US military hardware, but that just means more money for defense contractors. ---

I distinctly commented on someone else agreeing with Bill Maher and how he believed the whole Syria bombing issue was nothing more than a distraction from the Stormy Daniels, or whoever the fuck she is, drama/Trump rip of the day is. Trump did what Obama was too chickenshit to do even after Obama himself laid out the reasons a “red line” should be drawn in the first place. Unless you disagree with the “red line” then or the use of chemical weapons now, period. That’s not exactly clear.
