A better comparison is if a friend of a candidate spent $130,000 of non-campaign money to air negative ads about the opponent. That would be illegal, because money spent on getting someone elected has to play by the rules of campaign finance. ---

Geez, when was it, 10 days ago that Trump announced he wanted the 2000 US troops out of Syria within 6 months? Tossing some missiles at them for using chemical warfare is pretty close to doing nothing. And I agree it won’t accomplish anything. Ironically the attack seems to be on Islamist radicals, the same ones we would bomb with more humane killing tools. I predict people will forget about this in under a week, unless Trump does something stupid. Lobbing missiles is as close to a normal presidential action as I can recall him making. ---
