> Even when I watch Trump’s ridiculous and absurd antics, and I’m disgusted by this clown who now sits in the Oval Office, I can jump on a thread here and in two minutes be similarly disgusted by the hysterical and poor arguments being directed against him.

> There are some great, clear-headed posters here who are solidly liberal, and whose views I cherish reading, but they are often drowned out by crappy arguments and, worse, _acceptance_ of crappy arguments. This is a board that piously reveres fighting ignorance, scoffs at the right for ignoring facts and science, and then accepts shitty attempts at analysis and review merely because the rhetor offering them aligns politically with the prevailing lefty winds.

> So, yeah: I didn’t vote for Trump, but I came close enough that I actually marked a ballot “Trump,” before trashing it and voting Clinton. And if you wonder why I teetered on the cusp like that, this place was part of the reason.

This tells me that Bricker just barely allowed his principles of wanting a country not run into the ground by a moron to win out over his desire to see the people who make or accept crappy arguments be harmed or at the very least offended by choosing to vote for trump.

That trump won in spite of bricker’s noble sacrifice just makes it better for him, I imagine. He gets to see all the libruls all upset about what is happening to our country, and he can claim that his principles made him vote against it, therefore, that’s all he needed to do to be on the “right side”.

See any of billfish’s posts in the same thread.
