It’s perhaps the tiniest and least significant form of terrorism, but I’d agree that I would fear buying a Tesla out of a concern for targeted vandalism. The issue here is with how quickly this admin is willing to call this terrorism, given how resistant they are to accepting far right groups as terrorists. Indeed, as we know, Trump and acoyltes base all such terms on political affiliation now. But yes agree that it probably is. This isn’t just spray-painting or the kind of (brilliant) targeted ads being employed in London. We’re talking about people using guns and molatov cocktails. If I were looking to buy a electric car, even if I didn’t care about politics, I would still hesitate to buy a tesla right now, for fear that it would be vandalized or I might even be attacked. ---

There is no reason. His problem with Canada is that he is an asshole. I don’t think it’s any more complicated than that. His “management style,” if you can call it that, has always been to intentionally create chaos. That’s what he does. He did that in his businesses in the past long before the presidency was even a gleam in his eye. Every encounter has to have a winner and a loser. The strongest, meanest one who vanquishes the decent, principled one, preferably leaving them dead, is the winner. It’s that simple: black and white. ---
