After being married, I did return to NY and went back to St. Petersburg for _three_ years. I left in 2015 when it was really dicey to be a foreigner. I like(d) St. Petersburg. Built out of swamps (like the Meadowlands where the Giants/Jets play) as a Versailles that looks to the West by Peter the Great (but the city was named after the apostle), who loved Western Europe. ---

Pretty much what we figured. I asked my wife as like I said she speaks French and I was unsure if I was missing an obvious reference. I mean, I saw a young woman hold up a **blank** sheet of A4 paper (about 8x11) and she was hauled off into the OMON bus. if by “time for a change” you meant for me to foment a revolution, I’d be dead and so would my wife and family. The day you can be arrested for holding up a blank sheet of paper in the USA is not far off. ---

Just sitting in the car driving my wife to work was enough. A friend of the devil is a friend of mine. That’s the nicest song you’ll hear about… what’s his name? I just read that both the UK and Germany have issued travel advisories for the US. Scary times. Also, Bea Arthur (Golden Girls star) had her military service information removed from the DOD site. She was one of the first to join the Woman’s Reserve during WW II. Insanity. ---
