H.R. 1526, the No Rogue Rulings Act, is perhaps the scariest thing I’ve ever seen. Already passed by the House, it would severely curtail the district courts’ ability to slap nationwide injunctions on Trump’s executive orders. Senate Democrats better use the filibuster on this one. This is why I’m glad Joe Manchin stood firm and refused to nuke the Senate filibuster. He knew we wouldn’t always control Congress. ---

Sorry, I must have misremembered. Apparently it was only Joe Biden who simply recited the presidential oath of office with no speech. This clip is really out there. The host asks a question about Harvard. The best “excuse” for the answer is that Trump confused Harvard with Columbia, which is near Harlem. Still, Trump throws word salad off the rails. The clip is from News Nation, some right-wing channel. This is why it is good to have advisory’s: VP’s, SecDefs, Chief of Staff and the military joint chiefs of staff. Nixon had Kissinger, Cheney, Ford. I mean for better or worse, he had them. It was not just him. Reagan had Weinberger, Hague, Cheney. W had Cheney, Powell and for gaining control of states, Karl Rove. Good or evil, all of these people were intelligent, either long term politicians or military. I just saw clips of his interview with Terry Moran, who has been with ABC news well over 10 years (I knew who he was in 2015) and, when challenged on how much he believed the MS-13 tattoos were photo shopped, he (trump) goes on the attack and says “I don’t even know who you are”. I recall early on he had a chief of staff. She would often be photographed (behind a smirking Musk), usually with look of concern to outright horror. Trump says Putin would have wanted all of Ukraine but for Trump. Putin did and does want all of Ukraine - he considers it all Russia. It all came down to poor timing and planning for the invasion three years ago. Putin is a failure as a military commander - not as bad as Stalin yet he does not have the resources any more. Except the nukes, Should the EU or USA want to invade Russia again - you’ll need to take the Russian Baltic Navy (including Kaliningrad), and Sevastopol in Crimea before you’re even talking about a land invasion and air superiority. Only for the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans is America basically also impossible to successfully invade and occupy. Xi is going to take Taiwan. The closest metaphor I can think of is if someone occupied Long Island, in New York. Nukes not so much in play as the really cool hypersonic missiles and where the US 7th Navy is. I mean, I’m not trying to “Rule the World” and though I do know where the Congo is, if I didn’t I wouldn’t say that out loud. In some of the Terry Moran interview comments there were links to Trump cutting short Q&A at rallies to sway and gesticulate, sometimes for 40 minutes. “Now play YMCA, real loud!” This president must be removed, along with the upper echelon of control. I cannot fathom that the 25th amendment basically requires the latter (plus congress?) to do so. We can only rely on Congress to impeach and swiftly. And then to remove the others, more impeachments. ---
