We are truly through the looking glass now. This cluster is going to prosecute innocent people for a crime that did not happen. And the magaflatearthers will love it. Evidently the country’s last best hope is Harris actually doing what Trump wanted Pence to do. ---

I am not in a position to say how likely it is the Senate may or may not confirm this nominee. Different people say different things; probably projecting their hopes. ---

If Canada did become a state, Congress and the electoral college would need to be completely reproportioned. Canada would be the largest state by population, followed by California. Republicans might not hold the House or the presidency again for ages. Canada’s size would give it strong influence in U.S. politics. It might well be in their interest to ecome the 51st state. ---
