He was pardoned. Does he need to wait till the next Sheriff election or something? This pardon essentially makes it legal to do all this stuff. So while he waits to be re-elected Sheriff again, he should write a guide-book for others to follow his lead. Get the FBI involved so it goes to Federal Court. Pardon! Profit! ---

Still a convicted felon, albeit pardoned so he doesn’t have to serve time, but he would need to have his right to hold public office restored by whatever process the state of Virginia has for that sort of thing. It’s one thing for somebody like Trump but the optics wouldn’t work for most governors to let convicted felons even potentially hold office, especially felons convicted of abusing their office the first go around. And Virginia is not an especially strong MAGA state and the elections have all been close recently, so I would think Youngkin wouldn’t do this guy any favors. ---
