Seems more likely that he’d declare that the sun NOT rise, and then, when it does, claim that it didn’t, at which point MAGAland will agree and the press will write earnest articles suggesting that the bright warm thing in the sky _could_ be something other than the sun.

> DUBAI, United Arab Emirates (AP) — U.S. President [Donald Trump](https://www.yahoo.com/people/donald-trump/) said that Israel and Iran had agreed to a “complete and total ceasefire" soon after Iran launched a limited missile attack Monday on a U.S. military base [in Qatar](https://apnews.com/hub/qatar), retaliating for the [American bombing of its nuclear sites](https://apnews.com/article/israel-iran-war-nuclear-talks-geneva-news-06-21-2025-a7b0cdaba28b5817467ccf712d214579). Iran said that as long as Israel stopped its attacks early Tuesday morning, it would halt theirs.
>
> Israel did not immediately acknowledge any ceasefire, but there were no reports of Israeli strikes in Iran after 4 a.m. local. Heavy Israeli strikes continued in Tehran and other cities until shortly before that time.
>
> “As of now, there is NO ‘agreement’ on any ceasefire or cessation of military operations,” Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi wrote in a post on X. “However, provided that the Israeli regime stops its illegal aggression against the Iranian people no later than 4 am Tehran time, we have no intention to continue our response afterwards.”

It’s pretty sad when one can trust a regime like Iran’s over an American president.

[And how did that ceasefire agreement come about when Iran is not negotiating with _either Israel or the United States_?](https://www.yahoo.com/news/no-point-holding-talks-israel-182928716.html)

>
> “I understand the concern, but the difference is that back then we had dumb presidents,” Vance said. “And now we have a president who actually knows how to accomplish America’s national security objectives.”
>
> The comment raised eyebrows, especially given how Trump was president for four years during the quarter-century period Vance referred to, alongside George W. Bush, Barack Obama and Joe Biden.
>
> Vance also promised the current strikes on Iranian nuclear facilities wouldn’t turn into “some long, drawn-out thing,” saying: “We’ve got in, we’ve done the job of setting their nuclear program back.”
>

Personally, I think infuriating yet another country to the point of launching missiles at American consular posts and American military units is conducive to achieving those goals. Unless, of course, those goals were to accomplish exactly that.

Correct me if I’m wrong, yet I do not believe I’ve ever heard a president say “Fuck” to the press before. Nixon probably on the tapes. But to the press? To the world?

I’ve no idea what he’s talking about with some “0” bomb that Israel apparently didn’t do.

I agree with him that these two countries have been fighting a long time. Yet he declared peace.

This is just to my not-so-young-self unprecedented and he is so un-hinged right now:

>
> The assessment, which has not been previously reported, was produced by the Defense Intelligence Agency, the Pentagon’s intelligence arm. It is based on a battle damage assessment conducted by US Central Command in the aftermath of the US strikes, one of the sources said.
>
> The analysis of the damage to the sites and the impact of the strikes on Iran’s nuclear ambitions is ongoing, and could change as more intelligence becomes available. But the early findings are at odds with President Donald Trump’s repeated claims that the strikes “completely and totally obliterated” Iran’s nuclear enrichment facilities. Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth also said on Sunday that Iran’s nuclear ambitions “have been obliterated.”
