What KILLS me is the tut-tut-tut-ing, pearl-clutching, namby-pamby tone of these objections that experts are raising! These people should be screaming from the rooftops that this man is a freaking maniac and is hell-bent on destroying the Bill of Rights!

_We’re concerned… we worry…this might…there’s a possibility…_ When I read wimpy comments like that I want to scream: **“You are the experts, you know what’s happening, you SEE it happening! Call it what it is, FFS!”**

No, they’ll _say_ the actions are illegal and tell Hegseth to stop. Hegseth will then say, ‘No,’ and do whatever Dear Leader tells him to do.

What “the courts” say/do does not matter. All Hegseth et al have to do is broadcast the names of the “guilty” parties. The military’s fine tradition of hazing will take care of anyone who dares to express non-standard beliefs.

The MAGA administration will operate extralegally whenever it can get by with a bit of muscle.

I haven’t been able to bring myself to actually watch it yet, but I read some of the lowlights of trump’s recent address to the U.N. in this MSNBC article, and it sounds like a doozy. A couple reaction quotes:

> Democratic Rep. Melanie Stansbury of New Mexico [told MSNBC in response](https://bsky.app/profile/factpostnews.bsky.social/post/3lzjkfecner25) to the address, “This man is literally unhinged, irresponsible, bizarre, bonkers, ludicrous. I don’t even know why his staff are allowing him to stand in front of a mic at this point. It was completely incoherent.”

> Ishaan Tharoor, a global affairs columnist for The Washington Post, [wrote online](https://x.com/ishaantharoor/status/1970504163508343258) after the speech, “I’ve reported on every Trump UNGA speech. This is easily the craziest one.”

> **[With bizarre remarks at the U.N., Trump embarrasses himself and the United...](https://www.msnbc.com/rachel-maddow-show/maddowblog/bizarre-remarks-un-trump-embarrasses-united-states-rcna233215)**

> In 2018, officials at the U.N. laughed at Trump because they thought he was kidding. In 2025, they stopped laughing because they know he isn’t kidding.

Lies, lies, lies, and more lies. At least the guy is consistent.

> …
> For instance, Trump claimed that his current approval ratings are “the highest poll numbers I’ve ever had.” In reality, Trump’s approval is at 41.9% in aggregate, and the outlet noted, “Trump’s approval ratings across a wide range of polls are both lower than his historical highs and low compared with many other post-World War II presidents.”
>
> Trump alleged that Washington, D.C., was the “crime capital of America” when he took office, but D.C.’s crime rate[has been trending down](https://www.dailykos.com/stories/2025/9/15/2343651/-Trump-cooks-up-a-new-reason-to-occupy-DC) and other cities like Memphis and Kansas City have higher rates.
>
> He lied when claiming 300,000 migrant children were “lost” under the Biden administration. He lied about gas prices “coming way down”—they’re up since he was inaugurated in January. Trump claimed that China has “very few wind farms” but that nation has three times as many the wind farms as the U.S.
>
> Trump also alleged that 300,000 people died due to drug overdoses in the past year, a fake statistic he used to justify his use of the military to bomb boats in the Atlantic. PolitiFact noted that Centers for Disease Control and Prevention data shows that there were 43,000 deaths due to opioids, a tragic figure but far less than Trump’s made-up claim.
>
> Trump[also regurgitated](https://www.dailykos.com/stories/2025/9/23/2345033/-Angry-old-man-yells-at-the-UN-for-an-hour) his false assertion that he ended “seven unendable wars” since he took office.
> …

Blahblahblah, and so on…

Why didn’t the whole assembly rise as one person and scream: _“You lying bastard! Go fuck yourself!”_ Each in their native language, of course.

People still treat him like he’s normal! That absolutely _kills_ me. 😡
