It appears DJT is going to attempt to erase those he hates. The WH just ordered Gen. Milley’s portrait be removed from the Pentagon. So childish, petty and disrespectful. ---

The use of a Bible in U.S. inaugurations goes back to Washington; it is not specified in the Constitution (though the oath is), but rather symbolizes the telling of truth by the person swearing (the analogue is the oath to tell the truth as a witness in court). The symbolism of _not_ placing the hand on the Bible is that Trump is implicitly giving himself, and only himself, as the standard by which his swearing of the oath is true or false. Buckle up, folks! Only 1460 more days (and 16 hours) of this. ---

According to his Wikipedia article, Enrique Tarrio has been fully pardoned. He’s going to pardon them all. I won’t be surprised if he orders the Mint to issue a commemorative $10 gold coin to honor the “patriots”. Or if he has a monument to them built on the Mall. ---
