Not sure of the math either, yet couldn’t that money keep the base commissaries open? They have much better prices than off-base markets, and they’d save more than a night at the movies money.

> Might even succeed, but I think this is the least likely alternative you propose.

I hope so. Elections every year, and especially the even-year elections, have had a good run. Giuliani suggested to “delay” the NYC mayoral elections in November 2001, but Bloomberg said “No, we’re not doing that”; yet that’s not Congress/Some Senators/President (every four years).

The 22nd Amendment hasn’t really had a chance to be “tested”. I’m not sure how many amendments have been tested, or if the Bill of Rights are special in any way, yet the 1st, 2nd, 4th, 5th, and 6th keep on getting run over. Tell Trump he’s somehow missed the 3rd and you’ll have soldiers quartering in people’s houses just so (I believe) **Johnnny LA** can update his list of grievances.

No way Reagan, with undisclosed Alzheimer’s, could have beaten even Dukakis. Clinton could have gotten a few more votes counted in Florida, yet I reckon W edges him in other states. W, who once said he’d prefer a government of dictatorship, “So long as I’m the dictator,” and he wasn’t kidding. This is well before the daily destruction of the US Government we’ve gotten used to and besides the shit bombing video last week, , there was the video of trump running in 2028 (up to 90,000 so yeah, just a joke) so yes, we shall have a vote and even if we don’t do it Russian Style, where Trump gets 92% of the popular vote, there is no Republican who will challenge him in a primary and I’m waiting to see what paddle-raising Democrat announces and how long till the DOJ puts him or her in federal prison (also a Russian thing to do). Who wants to be next?

The Un-Americans in Toronto are booing the American National Anthem. That’s certainly happened before. Yet it’s clear they’re booiing Trump, so I’d like to think LA gets it and just boos trump if he makes another 10 minute entrance and everyone has to enter two hours earlier to pass security. Trump can only throw golf balls from the rough onto the fairway.

What’s interesting in this article is a statement from Reagan that Trump is calling “FAKE” and “fraudulent”, I guess like they’re AI or something. Yet they are very real.

> **[Why are they booing the American national anthem at Game 1 of the 2025 World...](https://en.as.com/mlb/why-are-they-booing-the-american-national-anthem-at-game-1-of-the-2025-world-series-in-toronto-f202510-n/)**

Reagan’s “rule” was you never, ever say anything negative about a Republican. For a quasi-fake-republican like Trump to say something bad about Saint Ronny is really stupid. There are a lot of people who loved that guy and even I miss a coherent President, even though he’s reading a statement and supposedly was showing signs of Alzheimer’s at this time.

And now the Orange Felon has announced additional 10% tariffs against Canada because the ads with Reagan’s actual words hurt his feelings.

They’re not even trying to put the fig leaf of “fentanyl coming across the border” anymore. This tariff is clearly, unequivocably, obviously illegal. And is going to fuck over more American consumers as they pay more for imports from one of their largest trading partners.

I’m currently on a weekend vacation in Oregon, and today I took a day tour of the Columbia River gorge and Mt. Hood. This tour company does all kinds of different tours in a 12-passenger van, including custom private tours.

While picking up passengers this morning, the tour guide let slip that last month he did a private tour of Portland which included Pete Hegseth, Kristi Noem, and their staff.

Three days later was Trump’s “war-ravaged Portland” tweet.

Huh? There is no “war-ravaged” part of Portland. Even the area around the ICE facility, where protests are continuing, is not “war-ravaged”. Trump got that from watching 5-year-old video of the BLM protests on Faux News. Yes, things were pretty bad back then, but only in part of downtown and by now, it’s been largely cleaned up. If he did hear anything from Hegseth and Noem, they probably lied because that was what Trump wanted to hear.

> Trump first announced the secret, legally controversial donation on Thursday amid growing clamor about the potential financial hardship being caused by the ongoing federal shutdown on the 1.3 million active duty military troops.

And, of course, being a trumpeter, Mellon’s likely breaking the law.

> Still, the donation, which equates to about $100 per service member, appears to be a potential violation of [the Antideficiency Act](https://www.gao.gov/legal/appropriations-law/resources), which prohibits federal agencies from spending funds in advance or in excess of congressional appropriations – and from accepting voluntary services “except in the case of emergency involving the safety of human life or the protection of property”.

So the felon should be removed from office. Too bad we don’t actually have a House of Representatives anymore to impeach him.

Yeah, and that announcement will allude to the usual "anonymous and unnamed sources\* the felon loves to quote. Here’s my prediction of how he’ll word the announcement.

“Many people have come to me, with tears in their eyes, saying, ‘Sir, you must name the ballroom after you. It’s the biggest ballroom ever and you have the biggest balls. The socialist communist traitor anti-Americans don’t want you to show how much you love America by doing that. You are America! Don’t show them any weakness!’”

According to Trump, the U.S. President has the power to rename a huge body of water. It should be a piece of cake for a future president to rename a measly little ballroom.
