I’m gonna go out on a limb and say the mayor-elect who ran on a reform and anticorruption platform and hasn’t taken office yet did _not_ offer Donald Trump a bribe. ---

How about a business opportunity? Mamdani is smart and good at politics. Running on an anticorruption platform is smart and good politics. It doesn’t mean he’s unwilling to offer a deal to someone with the power to do good for his city. ---

Has Trump even built anything in New York in this century? Besides, coming to Trump with an offer would be an act of supplication which in Trump’s mind would put him in a position of dominance, and Trump clearly wasn’t feeling dominant. It’s far likelier that Zohran just took advantage of Trump’s constant need for praise. ---

This morning I had the opportunity to watch Fox with the sound off (hotel lobby) so i was just interpreting the chirons. But they were working very hard to say nice things about Mamdani, after calling him an islamist terrorist all year. I can just imagine the high-speed U-turn Fox’s editorial offices had to make caused a lot of chaos and consternation. ---

Translated or no, an article that had what seemed to be the proposal (I reckon it had 18 points) yet one of the things up for debate is “No European fighter planes in Poland”, which first has to define, “European” and “Fighter Jets” and then someone telling the Russians to fuck off if the Poles can only have Sopwith Camels. Rubio sounds more like a jerk-off than he did when he was running for President. This guy has no chance. This proposal is DOA. ---

28 point plan. And Rubio hails “tremendous success” I don’t see his much taller and smarter Russian counterpart, Sergei Lavrov is there. Is Russia represented in any way there? Trump has given Ukraine till Thursday to agree to something. Mainly letting Russia keep all their captured territory, buy into agreements Russia won’t invade again, All War Crimes (yes, **Gato** , that too) forgiven, and Poland can’t have jets and pinky-promise Putin won’t invade the Baltic’s (Dunno if Finland is in play). Peace in our time! If the UK is there in some manner, I hope they convey the threat that the Yantar spy and internet sabotage ship is in danger of being **sunk** if they keep on fucking around in UK waters. Laser-lighting the cockpit of UK airplanes, and trying to jam their GPS. ---
