Last night on British radio they played a clip of Bannon from back in…20xx??.. saying the phrase ‘flood the zone’ so the media can’t cover everything. Still holds true. ---

Long before he became president. He thinks good shit will rise to the top of the churning cauldron of regular shit. NIH grant freeze and overhead reduction rescinded (temporarily at least). They decided to follow the court order. Keir Stermer to visit Trump by “end of February” There’s no leap day so his only “out” is “maybe not this particular year”. Dunno if this travel is supposed to be secret but pounds to crumpets it’ll be the next 16 days. And he best have that KCIII invite. Then he’ll stay on Trumps “good side” though certainly not Musk’s. ETA: BBC reminds that Feb 22 is 3 years of Putin’s War and Trump is meeting Putin in Saudi Arabia. Smells like a Nobel Peace Prize for the two of them. ---

I always understood that to mean that he does it **intentionally**. That he deliberately sets his staff against each other and provokes infighting and war. Somehow he believes that all of this fighting and sparring and animosity will produce some wonderful new phoenix thing. Also, by setting them at each other’s throats, it prevents them from banding together against him. When people work together and get along, it makes him feel weak. He’s not the center of attention anymore. ---

I don’t think they give a fuck about the TRO. Someone just probably told them it’s a bad look to disrupt cancer research, and many in some other cases, a few worried members of Congress told them that funding cuts might not be so popular back in their districts. ---
