The Wall Street Journal says Noem and Lewandowsky are fucking.

[https://www.wsj.com/politics/policy/chaos-kristi-noem-homeland-security-f095ac95](https://www.wsj.com/politics/policy/chaos-kristi-noem-homeland-security-f095ac95)

> Noem and Lewandowski’s close relationship had already made Trump and his top advisers uncomfortable. Lewandowski had initially wanted to formally serve as Noem’s chief of staff, but Trump rejected the idea due to reports of a romantic relationship between the two—which he has continued to bring up, officials say.
>
> After tabloid photos of Lewandowski showed him going back and forth between his apartment and Noem’s across the street last year, the secretary moved into a government-owned waterfront house on a military base in Washington that is provided to the leader of the U.S. Coast Guard. The Coast Guard falls under Noem’s purview at DHS during peacetime. Lewandowski also spends time at the house.
>
> Lewandowski and Noem, who are both married, have publicly denied the reports of the affair, but people said they do little to hide their relationship inside the department. The DHS spokeswoman said the department “doesn’t waste time with salacious, baseless gossip.”
>
> The pair have lately been using a luxury 737 MAX jet, with a private cabin in back, for their travel around the country, according to people familiar with the matter.

> NORWICH, Conn. (AP) — The U.S. State Department has ordered certain public libraries nationwide to cease processing passport applications, disrupting a long-standing service that librarians say their communities have come to rely on and that has run smoothly for years.
>
> The agency, which regulates U.S. passports, began issuing cease and desist orders to not-for-profit libraries in late fall, informing them they were no longer authorized to participate in the Passport Acceptance Facility program as of Friday.
>

>
> The spokesperson did not respond to questions as to why it has become an issue now and exactly how many libraries are impacted by the cease and desist order. In a statement, they said, “passport services has over 7,500 acceptance facilities nationwide and the number of libraries found ineligible makes up less than one percent of our total network.”
>

I assumed it means he’s sundowning, because this is like the fifth or sixth time since last January that he’s made a declaration like this via tweet and then not followed up on it.

This is how I remember it [AI results from a search]:

> Donald Trump frequently expressed a desire to move the island (superstructure) on USS _Gerald R. Ford_ class aircraft carriers, complaining that the new, rearward placement looked wrong compared to traditional designs. He reportedly argued for moving it back toward the middle of the ship, citing aesthetics and functionality, despite military officials explaining the design advantages.

I think there was some discussion about it here.

EDIT: Ah. I found an [article](https://www.businessinsider.com/trump-fixated-on-navy-carrier-look-said-would-not-work-2022-5).

> The former president also said that the command center, commonly known as “the island,” was positioned too far back and not close enough to the middle of the carrier.

> The island “looks really bad — it’s stupid,” Trump said…
