Hey people, the Iranian regime is good at torture and terror, right? That’s their shtick. If they are any good, they will not kill _him_, they will (try to) kill them who make him _hurt_ the most. I know who I would go after if I was them. Ivanka would make him rabid, Barron would make his marriage HELL. Let’s see whether the Secret Service is still up to the task or whether they are cursed by the one who fucks up everything he touches. Remember: corruption breeds incompetence, sycophancy breeds stupidity.
Then again, on the other side: Iran is not subtle, and religious righteousness is a bad counselor. Interesting times ahead.
In other words: fuck them all.
And I have not started speaking about Bibi yet!

The stupidity has once again reached [new heigh](https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2026/mar/02/pete-hegseth-trump-iran-military)ts.

[https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2026/mar/02/pete-hegseth-trump-iran-military](https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2026/mar/02/pete-hegseth-trump-iran-military)

Some of the article’s content is not surprising, being what you’d expect from the current administration.

One thing stood out, and left my mind spinning for a few seconds.

“

Vance in particular has been a weather vane for the administration’s creep toward military action, warning in a Washington Post interview against “overlearning the lessons of the past. Just because one president screwed up a military conflict doesn’t mean we can never engage in military conflict again.”

“

Jesus Haploid Christ, the current Iran brouhaha _could actually turn into another forever war._

The Afghanistan conflict repeated almost every major mistake that was made during the Vietnam war.

A good example is the way military officers are evaluated. To be promotable one must achieve assigned goals. So officers lie and exaggerate in their reports to superiors. The superiors then have a very inaccurate and optimistic picture of progress on the ground.

Aaand here we go again. A link to the article went into my bookmarks in the folder titled “History”.

At a solemn ceremony presenting the medal of honor to three veteran’s two of whom were deceased on a day in which our country is embarking on the most significant military campaign since gulf war, our interior decorator in chief decided segue a brief mention of the 6 Americans who were killed in the conflict into a lengthy discussion of the curtains and how lovely his ballroom was going to be and how Melania hates the noise.

That’s the thing. I’m guessing someone like Trump truly is incapable of grasping the difference between the rally-around-the-flag effect of 9/11 and America disapproving of him launching a totally foolhardy war against Iran. For a guy who is obsessed with poll numbers, he doesn’t seem to get that this will make his polling go down.

> President Donald Trump has told a reporter that his plan for Iran is modeled on U.S. actions in Venezuela—even though the deposed leader of Venezuela is still alive.
>
> Fox News host Bret Baier said the president told him over the phone that his plan in Iran mirrors that of Venezuela, where U.S. forces captured the country’s leader Nicolás Maduro in January and transported him to the U.S. to face drug trafficking charges.

So the felon plans on running Iran? Yeah, that’ll go over well.

As for political correctness, WC Pete has [a bit of a problem](https://www.yahoo.com/news/articles/bada-pilot-praised-ejecting-safely-213809299.html).

Did you catch that? After _ **SHE** _ landed safely. The wars only a couple of days old and it’s already _woke_.

Kirk actively urged young women _not_ to go to college.

“The enemy of my enemy is my enemy’s enemy. No more. No less.”

And yes; just because somebody on the far right turns on Trump for whatever reason doesn’t make them a good person or ally. Heck, Trump himself has turned on a large number of far right types (usually toadies of his after they annoy him), and that certainly doesn’t make _him_ a good person.
