Now you mention this, it is indeed bizarre that he votes by mail. Usually dictators only vote in their staged fake elections so their picture can be taken while voting. Voting by mail defeats this purpose. But he is an idiot, so how could I understand his reasoning (and I use this term generously)? ---

You’re all right. Why would he vote when he can just overturn an election. Or in the next case, prevent others from voting, that’s in the plans, and we know it. ---

On the one hand, he likes photo ops. On the other, he absolutely hates being among the hoi polloi, especially when nobody can guarantee they won’t all be fawning sycophants. ---

It’s also kind of bizarre that we’d allow the mutilation of children, of any sort, as long as parents express their consent in writing. I’d hope that we would be against the mutilation of children (which, to be clear, does NOT include medically supervised treatment concomittant to transgender identity). ---

No, I don’t understand how the temper tanTrump can let this opportunity for a show slip by. I do my best to imagine how he thinks (and I use this term loosely), and still – see above – I don’t manage. I will let him surprise me with the ruses he will use to turn this into a personal profit and who else benefits. If we ever find out. ---

I remember seeing news footage of him voting at his precinct in New York before he became president the first time (so back in 2015). Since he wasn’t president yet, there was no venue-clearing security and he and Melania had to wait in line like everyone else. He was heckled - ‘yer gonna lose!’ (if only …) and I bet he remembers that to this day. Melania was also wearing her giant shades, like she was embarrassed to be seen amongst The Great Unwashed. ---
