I suspect he also expects them to acknowledge his presence and spend an hour cravenly thanking him just for appearing. No doubt the ketchup will fly that evening when they fail to do so and don’t immediately rule in his favor, no matter what the eventual outcome. ---

It seems to me that his presence is more to set them up for being thrown under the bus at a later date as “corrupt” and “against him.” Also, can he prove that his mother immigrated legally? I know — at that date, etc. — but can he prove that she was legal? ---
