You’re not actually quoting me: this is my rewriting of **Just\_Asking\_Questions** ’s humorously ill-spelled sentiment. But “speakers” is plural for a reason: speech and writing need to be comprehensible. It’s not “anything goes,” but “there’s a decent variety of things allowed in the spoken language, most of which can be rendered in writing.” Trump’s use of English is not that of a fluent speaker, but of a formerly fluent speaker with cognitive impairment. ---
