Corruption in this administration, unthinkable. Well, maybe not. Let’s go to the FCC.

A couple of the FCC commissioners accepted tickets to the Kennedy Center’s annual awards gala from Paramount shortly after the FCC approved the merger with Skydance media. Olivia Trusty was gifted $12,000 tickets, and Brenden Carr sat in a private skybox. Tickets for those are $125,000.

Since Hegseth has announced mandatory testosterone checks for servicemen and women over the age of 30 a shots if they’re found lacking, it got me thinking. Does someone connected to Trump have an interest in producing and distrubting testosterone? i.e. Where’s the grift going?

Also, a significant number of Trump supporters absolutely hate the idea of forced vaccination. Are they okay with this?

It’s certainly possible that he really does believe that.

But notice how consistently his Batshit beliefs are spouted when it’s _to his advantage_:

- he can charge tariffs (which Americans pay, but who cares—it’s still Donald who has business owners trooping through the Oval Office offering him bribes for exemptions) when he claims that Canadians are at fault for fires due to not raking

- he can prevent the construction of wind farms that he believes ruin the view from his properties, by claiming to believe that windmills cause cancer

- he can cut funding to public health by claiming to believe that injecting disinfectant cures COVID, etc.

He claims insane things–and each one, always, leads to **an advantage for his own business interests or ability to raid government funds to spend on his own projects**.

I don’t think he took a survey before announcing the new program. But the testosterone supplements are going to be voluntary, from what I understand. At any rate, if you don’t like forced vaccinations, the military is not for you.

> An employee of a company that runs an Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) facility in Colorado is under arrest after shooting and injuring a woman on Thursday evening. The incident happened after the woman participated in a protest in front of the facility earlier that day, according to the Aurora police department.
>
> When officers arrived on the scene, they said they found the woman with a gunshot wound in her lower body. She had a friend with her, who was unharmed.
>
> Police said they stopped a man in his vehicle not far from the scene. They seized his car and gun and identified him as Brandon Booth, 42, an employee for Geo Group.
>
> “We are aware that an off-duty Aurora ICE Processing Center employee was involved in a shooting incident,” a spokesperson for Geo Group said in an email. “This individual has been placed on unpaid administrative leave, and we will fully cooperate with law enforcement.”
>
> Geo Group is a $4bn company that runs a vast network of private immigration detention centers and state prisons across the US. The company has deep ties to the government with numerous multi-year contracts with the Department of Homeland Security for detention facilities, transportation services and immigrant-tracking programs. >
> Ken Kies, the Internal Revenue Service’s acting chief counsel and Treasury Department ‌assistant secretary for tax policy, told administration officials their requests would violate a law prohibiting the president, vice president and other White House officials from ordering the IRS to “conduct or terminate an audit or other investigation of any particular taxpayer,” said the people. They spoke on the condition of anonymity for fear of professional reprisals.
>
> That law is part of the protections that insulate the tax system from political tinkering, and tax officials consider it the primary safeguard against weaponization of the tax ‌code.

>
> Per the reporting, Taco Bell said it was voluntarily pulling the lettuce from select states where it received the contaminated produce: Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, Ohio, and West Virginia. An [announcement](https://www.cdc.gov/cyclosporiasis/outbreaks/07-26/index.html) from the CDC warned the public not to eat food items with shredded lettuce from Taco Bell, but hasn’t identified Taylor Farms as the source.

> The contamination occurred at the farms or facilities where the food was processed, from a single supplier in Mexico, Food and Drug Administration officials said. > And then there’s the broader political context that many experts [are drawing attention to](https://www.forbes.com/sites/victoriaforster/2026/07/13/unresolved-cyclospora-outbreak-raises-questions-over-cdc-cuts/): how the Trump administration has slashed funding to the CDC and paralyzed the nation’s food safety bodies.
>
> Last February, shortly after Trump took office, the US Department of Agriculture (USDA) dissolved its National Advisory Committee on Microbiological Criteria for Foods, which provided scientific guidance on food safety policy. >
> The agents – a woman with a white crossbody bag, wearing a hooded sweatshirt and a face mask, and a man in khaki pants, hooded sweatshirt and backpack – appear to handcuff him, video shows.
>
> During the encounter, onlookers stopped and can be heard on video questioning the ICE agents. As more travelers stopped, a uniformed Transportation Security Administration officer stood in front of the agents and the man, creating a makeshift perimeter, video shows.
>
> “Back up, it’s law enforcement,” a TSA officer can be heard saying. “Everyone back up.”
>
> Shortly after, the ICE agents walked away, leaving the man and saying nothing to the TSA officer attempting to control the crowd or the onlookers. In a separate video, others were heard shouting at the TSA agent, questioning whether something would be done about the incident.

[Hey, the boss hallucinates “facts”; why not let the AI legal aide do the same?](https://www.yahoo.com/news/politics/articles/judge-scolds-doj-submitting-filing-091814931.html)

A federal judge appointed by Donald Trump scolded the [Department of Justice](https://www.yahoo.com/news/politics/articles/trump-doj-imposes-case-quotas-115844896.html) for submitting a court filing that included fake case law, which appeared to have been hallucinated by AI.

The case involved an Immigration and Customs Enforcement detainee who had been granted a bond order that was automatically delayed pending appeal.

The delay had since expired, making the issue moot, Judge Hala Jarbou of the Western District of Michigan wrote Thursday in what should have been a short and straightforward [case dismissal](https://storage.courtlistener.com/recap/gov.uscourts.miwd.120609/gov.uscourts.miwd.120609.11.0.pdf).

But Jarbou was also forced to address the DOJ’s response to an earlier court order that cited a non-existent case supposedly from the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals.

“It seems this citation was likely produced by generative artificial intelligence,” Jarbou wrote. “It should be obvious that any attorney who uses AI must scrupulously review its work product to ensure that the cited cases exist and that the citations accurately and fairly represent the underlying case law.”

He can’t charge a tariff on Canada for wildfire smoke, nor will USAians end up paying for it, because USAians aren’t buying the smoke (well they are but euphemistically and then on US based noxious emissions). What he could do is impose a cross-border penalty, a multinational sanction, an extraterritorial forfeiture _et al_. on Canada for breeches of US environmental laws, assuming you lot still have them. And that would also require an existing bi-lateral agreement under international law, which the US actively rejects as undermining American sovereignty and it’s Constitution.

The sanction the Canadians would hence ignore, at minimum citing _force majeure_.
