To paraphrase Frankford’s _On Bullshit_: Lying has a critical relationship with the truth- specifically that it’s intentionally trying to obscure it , detract from it, confuse it, etc… Bullshitting is just intended to persuade without regard to the truth at all. The actual truth is irrelevant to a bullshitter and to their bullshit. Beside the point, as it were. Trump is a massive bullshitter. The problem is threefold. One, people are accustomed to presidents being extremely concerned about the truth, whether it’s truth or lies. Bullshit doesn’t fit in at all. Two, he doesn’t/can’t quit, and when he does, nobody believes him anyway. Three, he believes his own bullshit. Don’t know if that’s creeping dementia, sociopathy, both, or something else though. ---

Kimberly Guilfoyle, Trump’s ambassador to Greece, has officially resigned at Trump’s request. As noted in earlier posts, she’s been taking bribes from various people. I assume the issue was she hasn’t been passing the customary share up the ladder to Trump. ---
