Several of your brain cells, which would otherwise have perished under the torrent of bullshit flooding from the mouth of the person least qualified to make public statements- worse even than his own press secretaries - will sincerely thank you that they live another day.

> The Navy and Marine Corps are jettisoning the term “artificial intelligence” in favor of one that better fits its supercharged efforts to use advanced technology. Starting this week, Navy websites, correspondence, training materials, fleet advisories and other official documents will refer to it as “super intelligence,” according to an administrative memo issued Thursday. The abbreviation “SI” will replace AI. The switch better reflects the Navy’s approach to scaling the technology in its operations at supersonic speed, according to the memo. The capabilities of AI “transcend historical definitions of automation,” the service said. The Marine Corps made a similar announcement Friday. “To the maximum extent permitted by law, commands and organizations will use ‘Super Intelligence’ and ‘SI’ in place of ‘Artificial Intelligence’ and ‘AI’ in official correspondence, public communications, websites, reports, policy documents, and other non-statutory documents,” the memo said.

It is the only system of measurement with official status in nearly every country in the world, employed in science, technology, industry, and everyday commerce. I’m sure that the USN and the USMC know this, but I suppose they’ve got to make Trump happy. Never mind, like so much of the renaming and damage he’s caused, it will eventually be put back to normal when saner heads prevail.
