It’s like some bad comedy where the big doofus on campus somehow heists the trophy from a frat competition from the real winners so he can impress his rich alumni father who thinks he’s a loser (and he’s right). Only I don’t think anybody is going to learn any valuable life lessons ---

To me this is reminiscent of Trump course golf tournament wins that he gives himself every year. Everyone knows he didn’t win the tournament, no reasonable person would feel any sense of accomplishment for getting the win under these circumstances but for some reason he values them.
