Remember: if Trump throws the occasional incredibly superficial, inconsequential, and gratuitous bone to the military, then it’s okay if – when it comes to the stuff that _really does_ matter – he just treats them like absolute shit.

It’s all a reality TV show and appearances are everything to Trump, the cast, and the crew.
