Posted reply here, as I did not want to hijack the current Iran events thread in Politics:

It really gives me a warm feeling of trust, now that Canada and the US are in the middle of renegotiating the free trade treaty (USMCA that came into effect in 2020).

No wait. I don’t trust the US one little tiny bit. I don’t think they will negotiate in good faith, nor do I think they will actually honour any agreement once made.
