The fee for an initial consultation is low and likely can be waived if you are in considerable poverty. While the rule of law in my country isn’t what it was last year, I think citizens who do what their lawyer says will almost all be OK. P.S. It’s a little like teaching a kid to scream “STRANGER!!!” if somebody is causing them to feel inappropriately uncomfortable, or “FIRE!!!” as an adult – theoretically, two utterances that are _less likely_ to be ignored by those in earshot. ---

The other thing is that they’re smearing Kilmar Abrego Garcia; to hear members of the Administration talk, you’d think he was the worst sort of gangster and not a victim of those gangs. I’m sure plenty of people have bought into this narrative. ---

Not that interesting, as when it happens, I don’t expect much if any pushback. He’s gradually acclimating people so they will accept it when it happens. (Though perhaps the best way to fight his suggestion that violent US citizen criminals be deported to El Salvador prison is to argue against exporting jobs in the prison-industrial complex. Why pay El Salvador when we have prison guards in the United States willing and able to house and abuse prisoners?)
