IIRC he at one point was trying to deny that a large part of the DPRKs military hardware is of 1950s vintage; in particular trying to claim that their submarine fleet was much more modern as many of them had been built in the 1980s. This of course ignores that many more had been built earlier and that all of them, including the ones built in the '80s are of the Soviet Romeo class design, which was designed in the 1950s. ---

Hey, OP, if you want to score some points with your superiors, bring to their attention the notion of [light pollution](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Light_pollution). Light pollution is when lamps illuminating roads, cities etc, cause ecological confusion with nocturnal animals like owls. So yeah, North Korea is dark on Google Maps because 1. It isn’t, Google Maps lies 2. Okay, it IS a little dark, but that is because the people of NK practice frugality; 3. Yeah, we are dark and proud of it. Our beloved leader cares so much about his people AND the glorious wildlife in NK that he only allows necessary nighttime lighting, thus practicing frugality AND preventing light pollution. There. Pitching that idea should get your families bread ration upped by two slices for the next week. **Der Trihs** , that quote is so apt it isn’t even funny. ☹ ---
